How we build and check our tools

Last reviewed:

A tool is only useful if you can trust its answer. This page explains, in concrete terms, what we do before a tool or guide is published, what we do not claim, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.

Who is responsible

FreeToolsVerse is built and maintained by the team at webfoxs.com. We use AI-assisted tools to help draft and edit text and code, and the team is responsible for what is published: every tool is run and tested before release, and every guide is read against the tool it describes. We do not publish pages we have not checked against how the tool actually behaves.

How a tool is tested

Privacy rules for tools

287 of our 296 tools process what you enter entirely in your browser, so your files and text are not uploaded. The remaining tools have to contact another service to work (for example DNS and WHOIS lookups) and say so on their page in plain words. A tool that uploads data would never carry the "your data never leaves your browser" line. Read the full privacy policy.

How we write tool pages and guides

Not professional advice

Financial, health and tax calculators give estimates based on the inputs and assumptions shown. They do not replace advice from a qualified financial adviser, doctor, accountant or lawyer, and lenders, banks and authorities may calculate differently. See the disclaimer.

Independence and advertising

Tools are free to use and do not require an account. We may show advertising to cover the cost of running the site. Advertising does not change any tool result, and payment does not decide which tools we feature or recommend. Which tools appear as "popular" is chosen by the team based on usefulness.

Keeping content current

Each tool page shows the date its content was last reviewed. We revisit a tool when its behavior changes, when a rule it depends on changes (for example a format, a limit or a formula convention), or when a reader reports a problem. Rates and rules that change often, such as tax rates, are entered by you rather than stored in the tool, so they cannot silently go out of date.

Corrections

If you find a wrong result, a broken tool or a misleading sentence, email contact@freetoolsverse.online with the tool name and, if you can, the inputs you used. We reproduce the problem, fix it, add a test so it cannot return, and update the page's review date.
