Online Calculators for Loans, Savings, Business and Health

These calculators cover the sums people actually need to work out: a loan or mortgage payment, what savings grow to, whether a price leaves a healthy margin, a BMI, a due date or a shared bill. Each one lets you change the assumptions, shows the working behind the answer, and runs in your browser.

All 43 calculators, by type

Each group explains what its tools are for, so you can find the right one without scrolling a long list.

Loans and mortgages (6)

For borrowing decisions: monthly payment, total interest, payoff date and the effect of paying extra. Covers general loans, home mortgages, EMI-style instalment loans, car finance, credit card balances and how much rent your income supports.

Saving and investing (9)

For growth over time: compound and simple interest, savings goals, monthly SIP investing, fixed deposits, annual growth rates, return on investment, retirement readiness and what inflation does to the buying power of money.

Business, pricing and tax (8)

For sellers, freelancers and site owners: break-even volume, margin versus markup, discounts and stacked offers, sales tax, GST and VAT, pay-rate conversion, and ad revenue estimates for a website or YouTube channel.

Health and fitness (6)

Screening estimates for personal planning: BMI, body fat by the U.S. Navy method, daily calorie needs, calories burned during exercise, running pace and a pregnancy due date. They inform, but do not replace, advice from a professional.

Math, time and study (9)

For quick sums and schoolwork: percentages, exact age, the days between two dates, GPA, speed and distance, Ohm's law, reading time, plus a flashcard maker and a Pomodoro timer to organise study sessions.

Home, travel and everyday spending (5)

For practical jobs around the house and on the road: how much paint, gravel or mulch to buy, what a trip will cost in fuel, and how to work out a tip and split the bill fairly.

Why use FreeToolsVerse calculators

Change one assumption at a time

Every rate, term, extra payment and inflation figure is an input you can edit, so you can compare scenarios side by side instead of reading a single fixed answer.

See the cost, not only the payment

Loan, mortgage, car and card calculators show total interest and the payoff date, and what an extra monthly payment would save, because the monthly figure alone hides the true price of borrowing.

Not tied to one country

You set the currency symbol, rate and tax. EMI and FD calculators suit Indian banking, GST shows the CGST, SGST and IGST split, and sales tax and VAT work with any rate.

Margin, markup and break-even kept apart

The business calculators separate margin from markup and show the sales volume needed to cover costs, which are the three sums most often mixed up when setting a price.

Estimates labelled as estimates

Health and income calculators name the method they use and explain where it falls short, for example that BMI cannot tell muscle from fat.

How these tools are built and checked

The money calculators use standard formulas: the annuity formula for loan, EMI, mortgage and car payments, compound-growth formulas for savings, SIP and fixed deposits, and month-by-month balances for credit card payoff. Automated tests compare them with worked reference examples calculated by hand or taken from published examples, rather than with the code's own results. The health calculators name their methods: the U.S. Navy circumference method for body fat, the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for calorie needs, and Naegele's rule for due dates. Date maths avoids time-zone shifts by treating dates as calendar days. Each page states its assumptions and limits.

Calculators: frequently asked questions

Why does my lender's monthly payment differ from the calculator's?

The calculators assume a fixed rate, equal monthly payments and interest added monthly. Lenders may add fees, insurance or escrow, count days differently, or change the rate over time. Use the calculator to compare options and plan, and rely on the lender's official quote for the final figure.

What is the difference between profit margin and markup?

Margin is profit divided by the selling price, and markup is profit divided by the cost. An item that costs 60 and sells for 100 has a 40 percent margin but a markup of about 66.7 percent. The Profit Margin Calculator shows both and can work backwards from a target.

How much does an extra monthly payment change a loan?

An extra payment goes straight to the principal, so the balance falls faster, less interest builds up and the loan ends sooner. The size of the effect depends on your rate and term, so enter an extra amount in the Loan or Mortgage Calculator to see the months and interest saved for your own numbers.

Is a BMI or body fat result a medical diagnosis?

No. BMI compares weight with height and cannot tell muscle from fat, and the body fat calculator uses the U.S. Navy tape-measure method, which can be off by several points if you measure loosely. Treat both as screening estimates and talk to a doctor about health decisions.

Why does compound interest beat simple interest at the same rate?

Simple interest is paid only on the original amount, while compound interest is also paid on interest already earned. The gap widens with time. The Simple Interest Calculator compares both year by year so you can see where the lines separate.

What return rate should I enter in the SIP or retirement calculator?

The tools cannot know future returns, and real markets move up and down and can fall. Run a low, a middle and a high case rather than one number, and treat the results as illustrations of a plan, not as forecasts or promises.
