Check domain registration details.
Whois Lookup shows the public registration record of any domain: the registrar, when it was registered, when it expires and how many days are left, its name servers, DNSSEC status and its registry status codes explained in plain English. Data comes from the domain registry's official RDAP service, the modern replacement for WHOIS. Owner names and contact details are normally hidden by the registry.
Made for it and developers. Typical uses:
Personal details of the owner are redacted by most registries, so you cannot use this to identify who owns a domain. A few country-code extensions do not publish RDAP data and cannot be looked up. Lookups are limited to a few per minute.
Accuracy: Results reflect what the lookup returns at the moment you run it. Records and locations can change or differ between networks.
A step-by-step way to find out why a site is down or misbehaving: check DNS records, then the HTTP status code and redirect chain, then domain expiry and your own IP.
